It sounds like Seattle is the haven place for anyone who desires glo-fi tinted muses in the sun. Last year Beat Connection announced themselves to the world with their ‘Surf Noir’ eight track EP- a dream pop marathon comparable to the likes of Teen Daze and Delorean. With an album coming out later this year and a string of impressive tour dates over the next few months (SXSW tomorrow, a US tour in April, and a UK tour in May), Reed Juenger and Jordan Koplowitz look set to be an integral part of our summer. For now the guys are dealing franco with the second installment of the Funkism mix series. A real disco, ‘yeah you can still be happy in this world’ edition. It certainly won’t make you forget about Japan, or Nate Dogg, but it could at least make your journey seem like a Tropicana ad for good fifty minutes. Enjoy.
